Gus Hennessy is a native of Los Angeles and a first-time author. He holds a degree in journalism from California State University. He is in a loving relationship with Michele, who has a twelve-year-old daughter. Inspired by a brush with fate and a tattered Jack London novel, he wrote this story, based on a childhood memory.
